Restoring the NOAH database

NOTE:

  • If you experience problems with your database, and can no longer use it, you may wish to use a backed up copy of the database. This assumes that you have been backing up your database. Refer to Backing up under Related Links to the right of this page.
  • It is not possible to restore a backup file created in NOAH System 3.5.2 into a 3.6.1 or later installation. This will result in an error message with error code 80040959. Refer to Backup and Restore Issues under Related Links to the right of this page.
  1. Close NOAH System if it is running. In Windows, click Start > All Programs > NOAH System > NOAH Database Properties.
  2. Open the Tools tab and click Restore.
  3. At Select the NOAH System database..., locate the NOAH System database filename you wish to overwrite (the NOAH database is generally located at C:\Program Files\HIMSA\NOAH System\Database\noah.mdb).
  4. At Select the backup files...., select the NOAH System database filename and (if applicable) the eTONA database filename you wish to restore.
  5. Click Restore. After restoring occurs, a message will appear, stating that this has been successful. Click OK.
  6. Click Close. Click OK.
